Veren's Ongoing Commitment to STARS Air Ambulance

It started in 2012. We committed to a partnership with STARS aimed at ensuring the well-being of our workforce and the communities in which we operated in. We became a founding partner in bringing STARS Air Ambulance to Western Canada, recognizing the vital role of this service as a lifeline for patients in rural, remote, and indigenous communities.

This commitment is rooted in Veren's dedication to the health and safety of our employees stationed in remote locations and the residents of the regions in which we operate. Over the years, STARS has completed over 9,000 missions in Western Canada and reaches more than 550 communities. Veren's contributions have played a crucial role in ensuring that this lifesaving air ambulance service is readily available, particularly in areas where access is challenging.

In 2023, we continued our support of STARS by donating $300,000. This contribution is part of our $1.5 million commitment made in 2021, to sustain STARS operations. Since the partnership's inception, we have donated nearly $8 million to STARS.

Our long-term partnership serves as a testament to our corporate social responsibility and demonstrates our commitment to enhancing emergency medical services for remote and indigenous communities across Western Canada. As the journey continues, Veren remains a beacon of support for STARS, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal of accessible healthcare for all.
